This is a Part Time Job
We are seeking a detailed and passionate Digital Designer to join the Creative Services team at our NYC Headquarters for renowned brands Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, SPIN, Stereogum and VIBE. The right candidate must love designing for music, pop culture and film, with forward-thinking user experiences that are intuitive and clean. This designer will be mainly working with the Marketing and Brand Partnerships team, focusing on pre-sale and post-sale graphics, many of which involve some of the biggest brand names in the market. The position will also require a jack/jill-of-all-trades to assist with product and brand graphics.
Your work will be viewed by our highly captive audience that reaches millions of monthly viewers. The position is fast-paced, often with quick turnarounds and revisions, so working efficiently is essential. Each of our properties has a unique voice, so you must be able to toggle between aesthetics to represent each brand accurately.
What you'll do:
Work with the marketing team to visually bring pre-sale and post-sale programs to life through program logo design, custom branding graphics, and media mocks
Create templatized keynote presentations for all marketing materials such as RFP responses, General Company Presentations, and Custom Event Pitches
Working with the ad product team to stay up-to-date on all media products offered and create/manage templates that junior designers can work within
Create design executions across a variety of media including web, interactive, video, experiential and occasionally print
Work closely with internal teams across the company such as video, marketing, and events
Oversee entire programs from beginning to execution
Jump into existing campaign creatives and maintain style guide and consistency of brand collateral across advertising units
Crafting and polishing user experiences and interfaces such as ad campaigns and high-impact media
Your experience and skills:
4-6 years designing beautiful digital graphics and experiences (we will want to see your portfolio)
You're a master of your design tools - mostly Adobe Creative Cloud - so knowing your way around it is key
Very comfortable working in the keynote - experience in presentation design is a must
A self -starter. Must be able to jump in on a program and get the ball rolling on your own
You recognize the importance of typography
You can articulate the voice/personality of your audience to others
The familiarity of ad products from IABs to Rich Media Units - i.e. to takeovers, overlays, banner ads, etc…
You're used to positively processing feedback, iterating and experimenting
You follow design trends and have applied them somewhere on the web
You know how to create memorable experiences on any device and multiple platforms (websites + social)
People enjoy working with you
You can deliver projects on tight deadlines when necessary
General knowledge of HTML / CSS is a plus
