Lead Camera Operator - Viral Marketing

About the Role

MrBeast is looking for a talented Camera Lead /Producer on our Viral Marketing team. This person will own the visual execution of social-first, vertical content designed for viral reach and brand impact. This role blends shooter-producer capability with operational ownership, translating creative ideas into technically sound, high-performing content.

The Camera Lead is responsible for planning camera and lighting strategy, managing equipment and crewing, overseeing the camera budget, and executing fast-moving productions that merge high-production-value aesthetics with run-and-gun agility.

What You'll Do
• Plan and lead camera execution for social-first vertical content
• Develop camera plots and lighting plots aligned to creative goals
• Provide DIT support and ensure proper media management workflows
• Crew and coordinate camera, lighting, and audio support for shoots
• Acquire, organize, and maintain camera, lighting, and audio gear
• Create and manage the camera project budget, tracking all expenses
• Execute high-quality run-and-gun shooting in dynamic environments
• Operate multiple camera systems across formats (vertical-first focus)
• Monitor and troubleshoot audio capture and sync systems
• Build simple, scalable lighting setups optimized for vertical content
• Operate heavy equipment including scissor and boom lifts when required
• Serve as primary point of contact for camera-related vendors and logistics
• Anticipate and resolve production challenges in real time

What We're looking For
• Demonstrated experience in camera operation and production roles
• Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets or Excel for budget tracking
• Experience planning camera and lighting setups for short-form or social content
• Comfort shooting on iPhone (Blackmagic App, Final Cut Camera App, native), GoPro, Insta360, Sony A7S, FX6, FX3
• Experience running audio systems including Tentacle Sync Track E and DJI Mic systems
• Ability to build and monitor lighting setups using P600s, Amaran F22s, Titan Tubes, Infinibars, MC and MT Pros
• Experience managing equipment logistics and shoot preparation
• Ability to operate effectively under time pressure and pivot quickly
• Strong communication skills across contractors, vendors, and internal teams

Preferred Skills
• Previous leadership or team guidance experience
• Familiarity with YouTube-native production formats
• Part 107 drone certification
• Experience blending high-production-value visuals with creator-style spontaneity
