MPI has an immediate opening for an Administrative Support Associate (Temp to Hire) in our Medical Review department. This role is key in facilitating the department's workflow through administrative activities such as processing prior authorization requests, gathering medical documents and preparing letters regarding the approval/denial of benefits.

*Minimum 2 years of clerical experience required
*Experience in medical field and/or health insurance
*2-3 years of medical review experience in an insurance environment
*Knowledgeable in PC skills, including Windows; MS Word and MS Excel
*Familiarity with medical claims a plus
*Clear and effective oral and written communication
*Strict attention to detail, high level of accuracy
*Good interpersonal skills; able to interact with individuals at all levels
*A flexible team player with a helpful attitude
*Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization
*Excellent attendance and reliability, with the ability to work overtime/extended hours as required
Your responsibilities would include:
*ICD-10, CPT coding/billing
*Coordinate Independent Medical Examination (IME) process
*Receive fax/mail inquires
*Process prior authorization requests
*Prepare letters regarding the approval/denial of benefits
*Research problem claims
*Gather medical documents from physicians for review
*Maintain confidentiality of information
*Disability/Handicap dependent requests- prepare files and required documentation
*Distribute mail accordingly
*Review and correct returned mail
