This role reports onsite in our New York, NY office full time.
The Role
We are seeking a Sales Director to drive meaningful revenue growth by building and expanding strategic relationships with WPP agencies and their direct brand clients across the Northeast. This role owns a strategic account list, delivers and exceeds revenue targets, navigates complex holding company structures, and unlocks high-impact partnerships including rate cards, preferred programmatic deals, and content integrations. You will manage the full sales cycle from RFP through close, build trusted client relationships through a deep understanding of their business, and collaborate cross-functionally to bring creative, data-driven solutions to life, all while becoming a subject matter expert across Moonbug's world-class IP and helping connect iconic kids' brands with the families who love them.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver and exceed sales revenue targets
• Build, manage and grow a strategic account list with a focus on WPP agencies and their clients directly, within the northeast
• Ability to navigate complex holding company structure and negotiate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders (ratecards, preferred programmatic deals, content deals, etc.)
• Devise an individual sales strategy that proactively identifies short-term & long-term opportunities, building a pipeline of revenue
• Develop strategic relationships with your clients, understanding their business, their challenges and their needs
• Manage all client communication, from the RFP process (briefing to conversion) to leading client meetings (presenting to follow ups)
• Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams; client success, media & ad ops, data, creative, marketing & finance
• Become a subject matter expert for all Moonbug IP's
• Stay up to date with industry needs
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• 8 years in digital advertising, with proven success in selling
• Strong relationships with agency groups, specifically WPP agencies and their direct client
• Have a deep understanding of digital media landscape, including content companies, tech platforms and measurement companies
• Strong presentation skills and ability to sell through ideas to clients
