Music Copyright Coordinator
Moonbug Entertainment
London, ENThis is a Full Time Job
This role reports onsite in our London office.
The Role:
Music is the heartbeat of Moonbug's globally loved brands. From the chart-topping nursery rhymes of CoComelon to the energetic soundtracks of Blippi, our audio catalogue engages billions of listeners every month. As our Copyright Coordinator for Music Publishing, you will play a vital role in ensuring this vast and expanding catalogue is accurately documented, registered, and protected worldwide.
Sitting within our broader Music team, you will act as a guardian of our musical intellectual property. You will manage complex metadata, support cue sheet administration, and collaborate closely with Music production teams and our publishing partners. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented music rights professional to support copyright operations in a rapidly scaling, digital-first entertainment company, directly supporting our ability to monetise and protect the songs children around the world love.
Responsibilities:
• Copyright Registration & Records: Maintain accurate copyright records across internal systems (including Curve) and external partner systems, ensuring all song titles, publishers, splits, and identifiers (ISWC, ISRC, CAE/IPI) are aligned. Support pre-registration of new works.
• Catalogue Onboarding: Register new musical works and prepare CWR files for newly onboarded catalogues.
• Cue Sheet Administration: Create, prepare, and track cue sheet submissions for global broadcasters, and support the rollout of improved cue sheet tools and processes.
• Agent & Sub-Publisher Oversight: Monitor agent and sub-publisher registration activity day-to-day, ensuring new works are registered promptly and accurately, and resolve agent-raised registration queries.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Income Tracking, Label Operations, and Legal teams to ensure our copyright data is accurately catalogued.
• External Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for copyright queries, liaising directly with global PROs, UMPG, songwriters, and other stakeholders.
• Asset & Database Management: Own the day-to-day accuracy of asset-level metadata across our core databases - this is a core, ongoing part of the role, not a background task. Actively identify, investigate, and correct metadata gaps (composer data, language definitions, identifiers) across systems, reconciling discrepancies between internal databases and partner/platform data as they arise, and flagging systemic issues for resolution.
• Process Efficiency & AI Tooling: Help identify opportunities to streamline copyright and metadata workflows, including through the appropriate use of AI-assisted tools, and support the rollout of process improvements across the team.
Requirements
• Interest in or exposure to music publishing, copyright administration, or a similar rights management role is a plus; candidates early in their career with strong transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
• Strong working knowledge of music copyright data, and standard industry identifiers (ISRC, ISWC, CAE/IPI).
• Proficiency in Word and Excel, with comfort working across large, structured datasets.
• Hands-on experience navigating music registration portals and working with global PROs/CMOs (e.g., PRS, BMI, ASCAP, JASRAC) is a plus.
• Familiarity with copyright management software and databases is a plus.
• A solid understanding of cue sheet creation.
• Comfort with, or curiosity about, using AI tools to support day-to-day workflows and process improvement.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to manage large catalogues and complex metadata accurately.
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external rights organisations.
• A proactive, problem-solving approach and managing high-volume, time-sensitive workflows in a scale-up environment.
