The Role
Moonbug Entertainment is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Edit Assistant to join the Post Production team at our London office, based in Camden, on a 6 Fixed-Term Contract (FTC).
This role sits within the Post Production department and supports the online and finishing team in delivering high-quality kids' content. It's a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their post-production career to gain hands-on experience in graphics, colour, conforming, and content delivery within a fast-paced, creative environment.
Responsibilities
You will support the Post Production and Final Post Editing teams across a broad range of content, including but not limited to:
• Assisting with:
• Assisting the Post Production team on audio and video tasks as necessary
• Preparing projects for Online and Grade
• Basic Online and Grade tasks
• Fixes and exporting materials from After Effects, Premiere, Resolve and Pro Tools
• Preparing and integrating basic graphics, including:
• Titles and lower thirds
• Basic motion graphics
• End cards and call-to-action graphics
• Simple visual enhancements
• Assisting with ingest, exports and conforming projects from offline edits
• Performing basic QC checks and logging issues related to picture, sound, colour, and graphics
• Assisting with fixes and updates to catalogue content
• Supporting technical workflows, including:
• Encoding and transcoding
• Media preparation and clean-up
• Re-conforming archive content
Requirements
The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about post-production. Core skills and attributes include:
• Intermediate technical knowledge of:
• Premiere Pro
• DaVinci Resolve
• After Effects
• Pro Tools
• Basic Photoshop skills for asset preparation (preferred)
• Creative interest and looking to develop skills further in Online and Grade work
• A developing understanding of broadcast and digital delivery standards
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical workflows
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• A proactive attitude and strong organisational skills
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team
Desired Experience and Qualifications
Some experience (internship, trainee role, or junior position) in post-production, editing, or media production
• Familiarity with:
• Basic colour correction and shot matching
• Timeline management and conforming workflows
• Audio stems (music, SFX, dialogue)
• An interest in:
• Graphics, colour, and finishing
• Post-production workflows and technical problem-solving
• High attention to detail with an interest in quality control
• Enthusiasm for children's content and maintaining brand consistency
• A team player with a positive attitude, a good sense of humour, and a strong desire to grow within a fast-paced, creative environment
