The Role

The Junior Music Producer will work under the Music Director to oversee the creation, production, and delivery of music across multiple projects. This role requires a balance of creative and technical expertise, ensuring high-quality music production while managing workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring talent.

Responsibilities
• Oversee the production of music albums and tracks from inception to final mastering.
• Write and compose original songs including lyrics, arrangements and orchestrations.
• Provide structured feedback to composers, engineers, and lyricists at various production stages.
• Ensure final mixes and masters meet creative and technical quality standards.
• Work closely with the Music Director to implement music strategies.
• Maintain clear communication with production, post-production, legal, and publishing teams.
• Coordinate with Music Operations to establish project timelines, deadlines, and workflows.
• Utilize Digital Audio Workstations (e.g., Logic) to edit, arrange, and compose.
• Engineer and coach recording sessions when necessary.
• Edit, tune, and comp vocal tracks, and record vocal guides as needed.
• Develop musical briefs, review and refine lyrics and compositions.
• Assist Music Operations in metadata tagging and deliverable submissions.
• Lead team meetings and provide updates on project progress.
• Direct vocal recording sessions and assess new talent, including singers and composers.
• Train new hires and manage studio interns, composers or creative assistants.
• Shape the musical identity of content and source/manage freelancers.
• Ensure documentation, including music bibles and project tracking tools, is regularly updated.Qualifications
• Proven experience in music production, composition, and recording.
• Strong proficiency in DAWs (e.g., Logic) and audio editing tools.
• Experience in managing production schedules and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead recording sessions and provide creative direction to artists and composers.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Experience with metadata tagging, licensing, and music operations is a plus.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in DAWs (e.g., Logic) and audio editing tools.
• Experience in managing production schedules and coordinating music pipelines.
• Ability to lead recording sessions and provide creative direction to artists and composers.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Experience with metadata tagging, licensing, and music operations is a plus.
• Must be a direct member of the performing rights organisation BMI or have willingness to join BMI.
