The Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to oversee and evolve the global day-to-day operations of the Media Ad Ops team. You will be working with some of the biggest brands in the Kids and Family space, executing advertising campaigns running on Moonbug O&O content and platforms. This role is based out of our Los Angeles office, where our US team sits, but will also work closely with the team in London for clients in EMEA/APAC regions.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a creative thinker who can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities, with an eye for process improvements, and have experience managing teams. This role demands deep platform expertise to inform best practices, foster team development, and achieve both client/company business goals.
You will be responsible for managing relationships with a limited set of external partners and work closely with internal stakeholders such as the Advertising Sales, Finance, Data and Technical teams. Other requirements of the role include:
• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of planning, execution and delivery of direct & programmatic media campaigns across Moonbug's digital portfolio.
• Manage a diverse team of 7-10 employees, ranging from entry- to supervisor-level experience
• Represent the team on behalf of the Head of Media in the event of their absence.
• Work and communicate collaboratively with Moonbug's senior management team, interpreting business goals into actionable projects, strategies, and team deliverables.
• Proactively work with commercial and business development teams to identify and drive opportunities for monetization of Moonbug's ad products.
• Deep understanding of Google Ad Manager, Google Ads, SSPs, and sell-side economics.
• Hands-on experience with data analytics, including data management, insights generation, and crafting stories to unlock new revenue opportunities.
• Actively work with Moonbug's data team on solutions that will benefit the wider paid media team.
• Attend client meetings where required both in pitch and post campaign stage.
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with the Finance team to aid and improve the campaign reconciliation process.
• Bring a strategic lens to everything we do across media planning, campaign reporting, and futureproofing our business.
• Where possible identify opportunities around audience measurement, co-viewing behavior, first-to-market tests, and beneficial technology
Requirements
• 8 years managing teams and at least 10 years professional experience
• Expertise in sell-side inventory fulfillment platforms (Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, SpringServe preferred).
• Understanding of buy-side platforms including Google Ads, Meta Ads, and TikTok Ads.
• Strong experience in video advertising space, especially YouTube campaign management
• Strong knowledge of CTV advertising and landscape.
• Strong experience of programmatic advertising including PG, PMP.
• Strong working knowledge across the Google workspace, including Google sheets, YouTube analytics, Google Looker studio.
• Experience with data management and visualization
• Confident communication skills with senior leadership.
• Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.

• Salary Range: $120-140K
