Position Overview: The Manager, Event Security is responsible for assisting with the management of all aspects of event security at Capital One Arena and all other facilities operated by Monumental Sports & Entertainment.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with managing all events and security-related matters at Capital One Arena.
• Make recommendations to refine our event security policies and standards.
• Coordinate security audits and identify potential concerns and operational gaps in the event security procedures at all facilities owned by MSE.
• Establish and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement officials.
• Work with Guest Relations team to answer guest inquiries and respond to security concerns.
• Coordinate with tour security to conduct security advance calls for all concerts.
• Create a staffing plan of all events held at COA.
• Assist with hiring, managing, and disciplinary actions for the safety team.
• Build positive relationships with a diverse group of people and partners.
• Provide leadership for event security operations including vulnerability mitigation, incident response, and risk assessments.
• Monitor event security team and our vendor partners.
• Coach and train new event security on post assignments and general security expectations.
• Collaborate with event security teams to ensure events are aligned with organizational goals.
• Assist with NBA and NHL event security protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with 5 years of experience in law enforcement, corporate, building, or venue security. An Associate's Degree will be considered with at least 10 years of experience.
• 2 years of management experience in law enforcement, event, building, or venue security.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and balance business relationships professionally and confidentially.
• Experience in exercising sound judgment and flexibility to shifting priorities.
• Must have excellent time management, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with 24/7 availability.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Solid understanding of security technology and tools available to assist in physical security of venues.
Pay Range: $75-85k USD.
