Lead Sound Engineer

This is a Full Time Job

The Lead Sound Engineer operates live sound reinforcement for the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, select Washington Mystics and Georgetown University Hoyas basketball games, and various concerts, tournaments, events as well as live and broadcast sound for press conferences and breakout rooms of various sizes. Additionally, this role will provide leadership to the team of sound engineers.

Responsibilities:
• Perform event sound engineering, including event set-up and striking, follow event scripts and production agendas, communication accessibility, ADA compliance, equipment maintenance, upgrading, and solving.
• Provide sound engineering for television, radio, and live-streamed interviews, press and media events working alongside the NBA, NHL, WNBA, NCAA, Monumental Sports Network, ESPN, NBC Sports, TNT, and others.
• Schedule and maintain a team of sound engineers.
• Manage and maintain equipment inventory and workspaces.
• Provide assistance and communication on with other departments, vendors or clients.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• 5 Years experience in Sound Engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Certificate preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of live sound reinforcement.
• Professional demeanor in a backstage setting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
