Under the direction of the Chief Engineer, the Lead Electrician ensures the safe and efficient operation of building electrical and AV systems through preventative maintenance, repairs, and event support. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, maintaining inventory, and assisting with game and event setups. The position requires strong technical skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
• Schedule preventative maintenance with a minimum disruption of building services, perform preventative maintenance tasks, order parts and equipment required for repair, support the maintenance and installation of new equipment and facilities, and maintain inventory.
• Demonstrate the proper use and care of electrical equipment and test instruments, safety, and troubleshooting procedures. Instill an overall level of professionalism in manner and appearance.
• Comply with departmental policy for safe work policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace. Insure the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies.
• Prepare and submit purchase order requests, develop sources for stock materials and perform periodic checks for supplies.
• Manages the maintenance and operation of electrical systems and sound equipment.
• Learn game set ups and requirements, all aspects of the sound platform, building electrical and AV infrastructure utilizing on the job training, operations manuals and documentation.
• Perform predictive, planned, preventative and routine maintenance on all electrical systems and AV equipment.
• Must have the ability to complete all electrical and AV functions.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with established work standards and practices.
• Perform visual and operational inspection of associated equipment and interpret specifications, blueprints and job standards to perform assigned duties.
• Assists with analyzing and resolving workplace challenges while supporting the team in reaching goals.
• Manage time and production of customer service requests.
• Must be comfortable and flexible enough to work with a wide-ranging and changing scope of responsibilities while adhering to the constraints of procedures put in place to minimize the risk for human error.
• Control the daily operations of all electrical and AV equipment in the building.
• Participate in all company mandated electrical safety programs.
• Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 10 years of applicable working experience.
• Journeyman's License, Master Electrical Licensed preferred.
• Required to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Completion of an applicable technical training program is strongly preferred.
• Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, use ladders up to 30 ft, possess sound and electrical proficiency, and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to adhere to the Union CBA and all applicable company policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance to all applicable codes and regulations.
• Able to learn audio skill, microphone operations, and various audio setups.
• Able to learn how to operate digital and analog mixing consoles.
• Ability to learn how setup, operate, and strike audio setups.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Outstanding excellent internal and external customer service.
• Must be familiar or able to learn to operate both Scada and Musco lighting panels.
• Understand the permit process and be able to pull permits.
• This position is considered an essential personnel position and must be able to report to work during inclement weather.
• Must be able to work reasonable overtime.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay Range: $51.75/hr USD
