The Applications Engineer supports all MSE staff and live events by providing Tier 2 and 3 technical assistance across hardware, software, networking, server, and broadcast environments. Key responsibilities include account administration, live event support, complex network troubleshooting, server support, documentation, and collaboration with Tier 1 and 2 staff.

Responsibilities:
• Provide Tier 2 and 3 technical support to all MSE end-users, focusing on advanced troubleshooting of hardware, software, network, broadcast, and A/V systems.
• Coordinate and resolve Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, and Print Server systems, including account management, policy enforcement, and vendor case resolution.
• Assist with managing endpoints and configure policies using Microsoft Intune, AutoPilot, and JAMF Pro.
• Lead software patch deployments, service packs, and bug fixes across end-user devices, servers, and virtual machines using the Tanium Deployment Tool.
• Participate in major incident resolution and produce detailed root cause analysis reports.
• Monitor system alerts to ensure high availability and reliability of core systems.
• Perform scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly backups to maintain data integrity.
• Diagnose and manage issues related to Windows Servers, printer systems, financial software, and specialty applications.
• Perform advanced network technical support for switches, wireless access points, and port configurations to ensure efficient system performance.
• Provide technical support during live events at Capital One Arena, ensuring seamless operations.
• Document and track all work accurately in the ticketing management system.
• Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 staff to resolve application issues, provide recommendations, and train staff on standard processes.
• Create, maintain, and share Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge Base articles.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
• 5 years of experience as a Desktop Support Engineer II, Technical Support Engineer II, or similar role.
• Microsoft, Azure Certified Admin, 365 Certified Admin experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge in configuration of Microsoft Azure / Active Directory, Windows Server, Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, JAMF.
• Knowledge of computer software, desktop and mobile operating systems, hardware, and networking.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and macOS environments.
• Superb interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work effectively both independently and in a team.
• Ability to resolve issues remotely and provide clear instructions.
• Ability to balance and prioritize work with competing target dates.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay Range: $131k - $145k USD
