Part-Time Personal Assistant to Author & Spiritual Teacher Mona Loring

Location: Remote/Work from Home (preference given to Ventura County and Greater Los Angeles)
Pay: $21 to $23 per hour, based on experience
Type: Part-time freelancer/independent contractor
Hours: 5 to 10 hours per week to start

I'm the CEO of Conscious Living PR and Conscious Hollywood. I am building a personal brand and looking for an organized, proactive, and dependable Personal Assistant to work with me as I grow my work as an author, public speaker, spiritual teacher, content creator, and intuitive visibility coach.

This role primarily supports my personal brand and visibility work. From time to time, I may also ask for help with my public relations agency, Conscious Living PR, if/ needed.

You'll be close to the process, not just see a to-do list.

Working with me, you'll get hands-on exposure to:

Public relations: how podcast pitches, speaking opportunities, and media relationships are built and followed up
Content creation: how an idea becomes a newsletter, Substack post, social caption, etc.
Social media: how content is created, planned, scheduled, and shaped to reach new audiences
Branding and image: how a message, a look, and a voice come together so a brand feels cohesive
Brand building: how a personal brand grows from a book and a body of work into a platform with real reach
Business operations: how systems, workflows, and administrative support keep a growing brand running smoothly
Community building: how an engaged audience is nurtured over time

If you're curious about the creative and strategic side of visibility, have an interest in spirituality and want to learn by being in a space where it happens, you'll leave with skills and a portfolio of experience that will serve you in any branding, PR/marketing, or creative career.

Some of what you'll help with:

Email and calendar management
Scheduling and research
Social media support and content creation
Newsletter and Substack support (creation/admin)
Press/PR support with my PR team for my outreach and speaking engagement pitching/coordination
Community management and marketing support
Project management
Building and maintaining systems, workflows, and digital files
Occasional entry-level PR support for my personal brand and for Conscious Living PR clients, if needed
Special projects (as they come up)

I need someone who is:

Highly organized and detail-oriented
Trustworthy, resourceful, and comfortable both working independently and with a team
A strong written and verbal communicator
Tech-savvy and quick to learn new platforms
Calm under pressure and able to pivot when priorities shift
Excited by personal development, spirituality, publishing, and conscious entrepreneurship

Bonus experience (helpful, but not required): executive or personal assistant work, social media management, marketing, PR, content creation, podcast or community management, email marketing, graphic design, photography, and knowledge of platforms like Kajabi, Canva, Claude, ChatGPT, Substack, or YouTube.

Schedule

There are no set hours, and you can complete assignments on your own time within deadlines. I do ask that you respond and complete most requests within 24 hours when needed. You're welcome to have other work / clients as long as you can reliably support this role and sign an NDA.

Location

This is primarily remote. Candidates in Ventura County or Greater Los Angeles are highly preferred, since there will be occasional in-person meetings, content days, or events as the brand grows.
