Intern - Social Media Manager

Social Media Intern:

The Miss Universe Organization is seeking beauty/fashion/health focused social media intern who can commit to a 4 - 6 month program and start immediately. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to help strengthen a brand's social media presence.

The Miss Universe Organization produces the Miss Universe and Miss USA Competitions LIVE on NBC annually. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced student or recent graduate to assist us in maintaining all of our social media platforms. The prospective candidates should live in the NYC area and either be receiving college credit or looking to gain additional resume experience. Candidates should have a flexible schedule and able to be in a midtown NYC office a minimum of 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with PR Director and Coordinator and multi-media department.
• Manage all social media platforms for all three MUO properties (Miss Universe, Miss USA, Miss Teen USA)
• Gather and organize beauty/fashion/health tips to create engaging content
• Assist in developing social media editorial calendars for Facebook and website

Qualifications:
• Must be studying or have a degree in journalism, public relations or marketing
• Previous social media management experience for a beauty/fashion/health brand
• Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to a changing environment
• Strong leadership necessary and strategic perspective
• Candidate must be proactive and take initiative
• Fluent in Spanish a plus
• Expert in MS Office
