Summary
Primarily provides support in the area of development operations and executive support to the Vice President of Film. This role is responsible for maintaining the Miramax database of over 600 library titles and tracking projects in development projects. In addition to development related activities, this role acts as a liaison in regards to contacts, relaying information, communicating and scheduling in order for that executive's day runs smoothly and efficiently. Handles confidential information in a discreet and professional manner as this position requires interaction with high profile talent and executives.
Responsibilities
• Manage heavy phones, complex calendar, contact management and scheduling requirements
• Roll calls, maintain call sheet, and organize meetings and events
• Calibrate meetings, take notes and director/writer/actor lists
• Festival tracking and scheduling for key executives
• Manage expenses and coordinate travel
• Support for producing projects
• Read scripts, proposals and write coverage; conduct development research
• Brainstorm and pitch Film/prequel/sequel/remake ideas based on development projects and completed film library to executives and talent
• Maintain and update production binders and pitch logs
• Follow trades & industry developments
• Maintain database of 600+ development projects and monthly development tracker for CEO, creative and legal team
• Other special duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience (not internships); prior entertainment experience required having worked at a Talent Agency or at a Film Studio/Production Company in development
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Must be polished and professional, specifically at the face of high profile guests
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to interact effectively at all levels internally and externally
• Be enthusiastic and an effective team player that follows oral/written instruction(s) accurately through the application of sound judgment and understanding to carry out responsibilities
