Production Internship - Blackademx Series (Spring 2025)
Company: Minty Educational Services
Location: Remote/Los Angeles, CA (internship will start out being remote but has the potential to become in-person should the production dates align with interns schedules.)
Duration: Spring 2025 (Exact dates TBD)
Commitment: Part-time, 5-15 hours per week
Compensation: Unpaid (College credit available)

Minty Educational Services is dedicated to creating impactful, culturally relevant educational content that uplifts and empowers marginalized communities. Our upcoming project, Blackademx, is a dynamic video series highlighting Black scholars, educators, and thought leaders, delving into topics of history, culture, and academia. The series will be filmed in Summer 2025 and distributed digitally to a broad audience.
About the Internship
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Remote Production Intern to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of our Blackademx series. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in film, media production, and storytelling with a focus on Black history, culture, and education.
If you're a creative thinker eager to develop innovative content and support initiatives that prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion, we want to hear from you. We are in need of talented interns who are interested in pre-production and project management! We're filming THIS summer!
Responsibilities:
Assist with pre-production tasks, including research, script organization, scheduling, and logistics.
Support virtual production coordination, ensuring smooth communication between the production team, talent, and crew.
Help manage production documents (shot lists, call sheets, production schedules).
Assist with post-production by organizing footage, reviewing edits, and offering creative input.
Provide social media support, helping promote the series through content planning and digital engagement.
Attend weekly virtual production meetings and contribute ideas to enhance the project.
Perform additional production-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Interest in educational content, storytelling, and Black history/culture.
Some experience with video production, editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro), or digital media is a plus.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for equity, inclusion, and educational media.
