This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Overview
Be part of the Milwaukee Brewers Communications team. Your role will focus on supporting broadcasting and publications, where you will gain insight and knowledge into the daily communication of a Major League Baseball club. The internship is scheduled to begin in January and continue through October.
Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with the production of TV and radio broadcasts by providing key messaging on events taking place within the organization for use on broadcasts, pre- and postgame shows.
• Research current and historical data on players, teams and matchups to include on broadcasts.
• Coordinate VIP experiences (arrange guest passes and tickets, meet winners and escort them to batting practice viewing session) and help organize broadcasting activities throughout the season.
• Prepare content for the team yearbook and Brewers publications, including writing feature articles, interviewing guests, coordinating design layout and pagination, and proofreading.
• Provide support for team photography and archival needs, including tagging gameday imagery and organizing broadcast highlights and news clips.
• Communicate with broadcast partners and radio affiliates, and assist with preparing broadcast needs throughout the season.
• Support broadcasting/publications and business communications/media relations teams, as needed.
Must be recently graduated from an accredited college or university, having pursued a degree or course work related to the functions of the position. Examples include: Broadcasting, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration, Sport Management, etc. Previous experience working in professional sports or college environment in a media relations or sports information role is preferred.
