Part Time Paid Internship
Overview
This position is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to Brewers Community Foundation. Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) is the official charitable arm of the Milwaukee Brewers. This internship will run from March until the middle of November. This is a paid internship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of Brewers Community Foundation including, but not limited to, providing administrative assistance to all members of the department, answering phone calls, data entry, and additional miscellaneous office duties
• Assist with the preparation and execution of special events (e.g. 5K Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk, BCF Week, Drive For Charity, Hitting 4 the Cycle,)
• Oversee the fundraising and logistical components behind the Brewers Community Foundation Scoreboard Message program by fielding calls from interested parties, helping to reserve their messages, coordinating with Entertainment department to make sure request is fulfilled, etc.
• Interact with fans and BCF supporters at Brewers Community Foundation kiosk during Brewers home games at Miller Park
• Assist with operation of Brewers Community Foundation's 50/50 Raffle during Brewers home games
• Interface with other departments during shared events for Brewers Community Foundation and Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club
Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to work during Brewers home games
• Candidates must be able to interact professionally with fans, and respond quickly and thoughtfully to any situation
• Candidates must have strong communication, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Candidates must have the ability to work on their own and/or take initiative
• Candidates should have interest in supporting philanthropic/charitable strategies that focus on health, education, recreation and basic needs
• Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time while performing functions of position
Education
and/or Experience
Candidates must be currently enrolled at, or recently graduated from, an accredited college or university in the state of Wisconsin pursuing a degree or course work related to the functions of Brewers Community Foundation. Examples include; Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, Sport Management, Communication, etc.
Computer Skills
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Hours
Candidates are expected to work 15-30 hours a week (more during home games as needed). Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays if necessary. Availability during Brewers home games is expected.
