Tour Manager - Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Live
Mills Entertainment is looking for an experienced Tour Manager for our upcoming tour of Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Live.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the touring company (cast and crew) and oversee all day-to-day tour operations.
Provide creative and technical oversight of entire touring production including performances, VIP meet and greets and merchandise to uphold artistic integrity of touring production.
Act as a conduit of information with the Tour's General Manager and Production Manager and as the Producer's representative with the touring company, venues, promoting and content partners.
Central contact for engagement advances and communicating relevant information to both venue and touring crews.
Lead all aspects of the advance, including the technical advance.
Participate in weekly production meetings and general tour check-ins.
Manage and maintain weekly operating budgets, expenses, and related reporting according to expense accounting procedure.
Coordinate company travel, accommodations, and logistics according to Company standards.
Act as company's on-site Human Resources representative:
Ensure the safety and health of all company members.
Handle injuries and associated workers compensation claims and appointments.
Lead a smooth, successful and enjoyable workplace.
Required Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Able to problem-solve quickly with a positive attitude and the ability to remain effective under pressure.
Astute attention to detail with strong organizational and adaptability skills.
Experience working in a dynamic, high-energy environment with a demanding workload.
Prior experience in providing work direction, coaching others, management or related area preferred.
Demonstrated ability to be solution-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a team, navigating different communication styles and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Valid driver's license to share driving responsibilities with touring company. The tour travels in 15 person passenger vans.
Preferred Skills:
A Bachelors; degree in a related field preferred.? Extended experience and combination of education may substitute for a degree. (Theater experience strongly preferred).
Three or more years related experience in the touring field.
Experience working in union houses and leading union crews.
Additional Information: Position runs September 2023 through March 2023. This is a touring position that will require driving.
