Mills Entertainment is looking for a detail-oriented Production Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee and manage all aspects of physical production and technical documentation for Mills Entertainment properties.
• Collaborate with Producers on budgets for physical production elements.
• On-site Production Management for technical rehearsals and tour/property launches.
• Work with the General Manager to recruit, train, and manage touring crew for Mills Entertainment tours.
• Maintain vendor relationships and oversee bidding processes and negotiate terms as needed.
• Lead management of equipment and storage, including warehouse and inventory.
• Manage, plan, and coordinate logistics and travel for assigned tours or engagements, including the creation of tour books and itineraries.
• Facilitate internal operations, communication, and workflow between departments for a property.
• Act as on-site tour manager for assigned tours as needed.
• Responsible for the overall touring logistics and planning of assigned tours, including the creation and planning of itineraries in accordance with budget standards.
• Ability to travel globally, as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with Production Coordination, Tour Management and Production Management. At least three years' experience in live entertainment industry, particularly with technical management and development of live production.
Position requires 1-2 days per week on site at Mills Entertainment's Warehouse Office in Clifton Park, NY.
Demonstrated ability to be solution-oriented with strong interpersonal skills along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with our strategic partners.
Ability to collaborate with a team, navigating different communication styles, maintaining composure and a high level of customer service.
Organized and able to manage multiple priorities applying project management work methods, working autonomously in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Valid driver's license and ability to tour internationally.
Must be able to oversee and perform physical duties in company's warehouse in Clifton Park, NY and on production sites, lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
Preferred Skills:
A Bachelors' degree in a related field preferred. Extended experience and combination of education may substitute for a degree.
Higher consideration will be given to candidates with five years' experience and touring experience.
Proficient in technical programs such as QLab, Vectorworks and Flex equipment management.
