This is a Part Time Paid Internship
Position Summary:
The RDS Information Technology Internship is a full-time paid (minimum wage) six month internship position from January-June 2019 . The RDS Information Technology Intern will be responsible for providing 1st level Help Desk support for Marlins personnel primarily at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, FL and occasionally at Marlins Park in Miami, FL.
This position is meant to inspire and promote learning essential skills for ground level work in the field of technology. This position may include supporting a set amount of games and events in which they will support as an IT representative at Marlins Park in Miami.
Essential Functions:
• Providing 1st level support for the IT Help Desk from Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL
• Requires transportation as the candidate will work from Marlins Park on occasion and for scheduled game day support.
• Assisting in desktop deployments, troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Working with the department on IT projects and supporting the user community as a whole
• General support of internal customer client computing devices, software and peripherals and maintain the inventory of such equipment.
• Take calls to resolve internal customer concerns and implementing new equipment
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Strong verbal/communication skills
• Knowledge of Windows XP/Windows 7/10 desktop support and Microsoft Office products, as well as a basic knowledge of networking.
• MCSA/MCSE, A , N , as well as Citrix knowledge is a plus.
• Prior help desk or customer service experience a plus
• MacOS X and Apple iOS knowledge is a plus.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes nights and weekends
• Must be a self-starter who is able to multi-task, be a quick learner and work in stressful environments independently and within the group.
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
• A CIS/MIS Associate's Degree or current enrollment in an undergraduate CIS/MIS major is preferred.
