Position Summary:
Manager, Event Booking is responsible for private event development and coordination support of special events at loanDepot park. This position consults on and coordinates the venue booking process with both internal and external parties as well as develops and interacts continuously with external event organizers and agencies to develop and solidify event business for venues available at loanDepot park.
Essential Functions:
• Establish and maintain relationships with industry professionals, including event organizers, agents, promoters and producers
• Quickly and professionally respond to inquiries
• Conduct sales calls
• Facilitate site tours for prospective clients
• Represent the organization at industry networking and community events
• Coordinate print and digital materials which support venue sales and marketing efforts
• Manage event-booking calendar, including adding, editing and/or removing events and event holds, and responds to building availability requests in a timely manner
• Generate event proposals, operation guides, and Location Use & License agreements
• Coordinate preparation of private event cost estimates with operations team
• Assist with the tracking and reporting of event invoices and settlements
• Assist operations team with planning and execution of events
Qualifications
& Requirements:
• Knowledge of the events and hospitality industries; specifically in the local and regional market
• Understand event booking patterns and trends
• Hold pre-existing business relationships in the industry and market for networking and prospecting
• Ability to conduct research for event prospecting, proposal development and production requirements
• Strong organizational, time-management, verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and adhere to deadlines
• Coachable and possesses a positive attitude
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule (holidays, weekends, evenings)
• Highly self-motivated
• Delivers exemplary customer service
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• A minimum of three (3) years of successful sales and/or service experience in a related field
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
