Overview
The Miami Marlins are seeking a dependable General Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of loanDepot park. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and high-quality environment for players, guests, and staff.
This position plays an important role in preventative maintenance, emergency response, and overall facility upkeep within a large-scale venue environment.
Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Troubleshoot equipment and building systems, including HVAC and refrigeration components
• Conduct preventative maintenance on kitchen, mechanical room, and facility equipment
• Complete building rounds and scheduled maintenance tasks
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs in a safe and timely manner
• Perform general building repairs including minor carpentry, drywall, painting, and finish work
• Replace lighting, filters, and other facility components as needed
• Identify and operate building shut-off valves and utility controls
• Maintain maintenance inventory and request parts and supplies as needed
• Document work performed and communicate updates across shifts
• Follow all safety procedures and building protocols
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Vocational or technical training preferred
• Experience in general facilities maintenance within a commercial, industrial, or large venue setting preferred
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and assist with heavier loads
• Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
