Position Summary:
The Miami Marlins are seeking a qualified and dedicated HVAC Technician who will play a crucial role in the operations of loanDepot park. In coordination with the Senior Director of Facilities, the HVAC Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the HVAC equipment and HVAC control systems at loadDepot park. The HVAC Technician shall also provide his/her support to the other technicians and mechanics as needed and ensure the facility is maintained and fully functional for all players, guests, and staff.
Essential Functions:
• Inspects, performs the predictive and preventive maintenance as well as repairs of all HVAC systems;
• Works from sketches, drawings, manuals, oral and/or written instructions;
• Plans and identifies supplies, equipment needs and inventory replenishment;
• Assists with the coordination and monitoring of subcontractors and suppliers;
• Assure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the department supervisor, and other shifts using approved communication programs and standards via command center;
• Handle emergency maintenance and repair work;
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials;
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets;
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards;
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees;
• Participates in the approved emergency response procedures as directed by the Emergency Response Plan and the Site Security Management team;
• Will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping;
• Available for on-going competency improvements and updates on the occupational safety and health procedures;
• Able to interface with occupants at all administrative levels;
• Team player committed to working in a fast paced, quality-based environment, especially in close relationship with other technical staff;
• Able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays
• Display basic computer skills. Enter and locate work-related information using computers.
• Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• Vocational or Technical background;
• Minimum 5 years practical experience in large scale HVAC maintenance and repair in the service industry;
• Universal EPA required;
• Licensing preferred but not required.
