Job Summary:

Our Human Resource Generalist will help lead the daily functions of the Miami Marlins Human Resources Department, supporting a world-class professional sports organization. Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provide outstanding client service to our Business and Baseball departments; put client needs first and ensure coverage of all client requirements.
• Develop, initiate, and maintain learning and development programs in partnership with the VP, Chief People Officer to provide internal development opportunities for employees.
• Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and HR processes such as performance management.
• Manage the performance review and goal setting process, including updated job competencies and descriptions for each role.
• Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
• Partner with internal culture committees (Innovation, DEI, and Employee Engagement and Recognition) to implement impactful programing for staff.
• Curate learning journeys and Individual Development Plans for team members in partnership with the VP, Chief People Officer and department leaders.
• Partner with the lead recruiter in the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Manage an engaging new hire onboarding process including but not limited to paperwork, orientation, benefits education, and stay interviews.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and MLB regulations, and make recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity, and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including game and event coverage.

• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's UKG HRIS system
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• At least 5 years of human resource management experience preferred.
• SHRM-CP is a plus.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
