Position Summary:
The Coordinator, Groups Sales and Special Events, reports directly to the Manager of Group Sales & Service and is responsible for working with multiple departments on the planning, coordination, and execution of group ticket sales initiatives, events and customer communication.
Essential Functions:
• Work closely with marketing to ensure all materials, sales messages and strategies are consistent with our overall campaign and objectives.
• Assist in the planning, development, and execution of group theme days & special events while working with various departments to ensure success of the event.
• Collaborate with Ticket Operations and Business Analytics to make sure all group tickets are built and reported on correctly.
• Develop, implement and fulfill benefits for Marlins groups and group leaders.
• Manage the inventory of Marlins Fan Experiences, communicate policies and procedures to clients, and execute the Fan Experiences.
• Supervise the staff for Group Sales special events and hospitality groups.
• Support the sales staff with the creation of presentations and related material.
• Provide recaps internally of group sales events and make recommendations for future events.
• Represent the Marlins at outside ticket sales events when needed.
Qualifications
& Requirements:
• Bilingual a plus.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency; Tickets.com and graphic design knowledge a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented individual with the ability to multi-task on various projects.
• Enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and desire to work and advance in the sports industry.
• Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
• Must have BA or BS degree
• Previous experience in a ticket office or sports team preferred.
