The Miami Marlins is looking for high-energy, motivated and reliable individuals to join our Gameday Staff for the 2021 Season. Through 50/50 Raffle, fans have the opportunity to support the fundraising efforts by participating in the raffle at Marlins home games. We are committed to enriching the lives of youth living in South Florida by making a difference through wellness, empowerment, and youth baseball/softball.
Here's how it works:
During all home games, fans may purchase 50/50 Raffle tickets from uniformed Raffle ticket sellers inside loanDepot park from the time gates open until the end of seventh inning. Each transaction is electronically tallied, and the ongoing total is displayed and updated in real time at various locations throughout the ballpark, enabling fans to watch the jackpot as it grows. Net proceeds from the raffle sales during each game will be split equally between one lucky fan and the Miami Marlins Foundation.
Essential Functions:
• Work all Miami Marlins home games for the 2021 season
• Responsible for selling 50/50 Raffle tickets to Marlins Park attendees
• Accurately handle the sale and distribution of the 50/50 tickets and following program requirements
• Assist with in-game fundraising activities
• Provide a high quality customer service interaction with all guests to enhance the loanDepot park experience
• Other tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Required to work extended hours, weekends and holidays according to baseball/events schedule
• Ability to handle financial transactions and possess financial accountability
• Must be prompt and have a reliable method of transportation
• Must have excellent verbal communication
• Must be comfortable to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time as well as interact with guests throughout the ballpark
• Prior experience in customer service or sales is a preferred
• Fluently bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines
• High school diploma required, seeking college degree preferred
• Interested career path in sports, fundraising, or community relations fields
