Part Time Unpaid Internship
Overview of the Internship: The Miami HEAT is hiring an Interactive Marketing intern to join the Interactive Marketing department. The HEAT seek a candidate who has experience with social media platforms and is dedicated to the promotion of the Miami HEAT, AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami HEAT Store and Miami HEAT talent via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and the rest of the social media universe. The ideal candidate is a forward thinking, motivated individual who has the ability to work independently and help the Interactive Marketing department reach all of HEAT Nation across the globe.
Description of Duties
• Assist in the creation of Miami HEAT game night and AmericanAirlines Arena event night digital content
• Gather and organize Miami HEAT and AmericanAirlines Arena social media analytics as well as contribute to social media recaps
• Provide on-site coverage for off-site Miami HEAT events away from AmericanAirlines Arena when needed
• Monitor daily trends and social media fan engagement focused around the Miami HEAT and the AmericanAirlines Arena
• Provide support with day-to-day Miami HEAT, AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami HEAT Store and Miami HEAT talent social media content
• Generate ideas for Miami HEAT, AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami HEAT Store and Miami HEAT talent social media campaigns
• Work closely and collaborate with Game Operations department on event coverage
• Other duties as assigned by the Interactive Marketing Content Coordinator
Desired Qualifications
• College student, preferably junior or senior
• Student major preferably communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or sports entertainment
• Above average knowledge of the game of basketball and Miami HEAT & NBA trends
• Above average knowledge of Miami HEAT history
• Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office and Photoshop
• Ability to work nights, weekends & holidays
• Ability to work approximately 25 hours per week
• Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required
