Description of the Position: Working alongside the content creation team, the Content Marketing Analyst will quantify the success and impact of the HEAT Group's creative properties. You will focus on established and exploratory analytics, and so are well versed in data modeling, analytics development, interpretation and presentation of insights. As a key point of contact for creating and implementing analytics that move the needle towards The HEAT Group's strategic digital content goals, you will be working with stakeholders across The HEAT Group to translate their needs into actionable insights, leveraging our data ecosystem in the process. Your core stakeholders include marketing content creators, audience developers, executives, channel owners, and revenue and product teams. Your investigations and research will inform the requirements for our content strategy and collaborate with our Strategy and Data Analytics team, who you will work with to create high fidelity, self-service decision-making tools for our stakeholders. This position reports to the Director of Digital Content.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Analyze and interpret multi-platform marketing content performance to provide conclusions and actionable recommendations designed to optimize the effectiveness of both content creation and distribution
• Work with a variety of data sources to monitor content performance across all platforms, including editorial, video, and social
• Create and refresh and dynamic weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports related to digital and social performance
• Create dashboards, and self-service tools to surface key metrics that illustrate progress made against goals and update management on regular basis
• Assist with the creation, execution and reporting of multivariate or a/b/c tests that drive fundamental improvements to the digital and social experience.
• Responsible for day to day analytics for the content team, including QA of data and reporting templates
• Track content performance against goals to determine how to optimize future content roadmaps
• Distribute performance highlights and observed trends on a regular basis across multiple teams including content production, product, and commercial
• Support team leads on any internal projects to further develop the analytics practice including implementation of analytical tools, techniques, processes, and frameworks and possibly the creation/definition of proprietary KPIs
• Partner with The HEAT Group's Strategy and Data Analytics team to translate analytics and reporting needs for Digital stakeholders into contextualized, story driven, actionable insights
• Advise on content tagging requirements and campaign tracking parameters across digital channels
• Be one of The HEAT Group's subject-matter experts in digital analytics
• Perform attribution analysis for content, including fragments, working towards a valuation model
Qualifications
• 3 or more years of marketing business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering work
• Experience and/or passion to work in the sports and/or entertainment industry
• Experience analyzing and interpreting data for creative content teams in order to improve content creation and distribution strategies
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
• Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable insights
• Strong knowledge of digital analytics platforms Google Analytics and/or, Adobe Analytics as well as native analytics from YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to tell a story with data verbally, in writing, and visually to a variety of stakeholders
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to adjust and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced business environment
• Ability to work effectively across internal organizations
• Have a strategic mindset
• Ability to handle proprietary and/or sensitive information with appropriate discretion and judgement
