Description of the Position: The Associate Director will assist the broadcast production team in the preparation & execution of the game broadcasts as well as with various broadcast related projects as assigned. The position will encompass a variety of responsibilities as outlined below, with the primary focus being placed on the preparation & editing of video presentations & materials.
Essential job functions include but are not limited to editing elements for broadcast (teases, features, bumps & roll ins). Compiling various video elements for broadcast utilizing both videotape and digital asset libraries. Working with NBA digital asset management system to download highlights. Working to maintain and oversee broadcast use of in-house digital asset management system. Logging melt and highlight footage. Oversee work of broadcast interns and part-time employees. Master Control coordination on live broadcasts as Associate Director.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Previous live remote television experience preferred but not mandatory. No less than 2 years as editor. Proficient editing skills – preferably on AVID systems. Experience working with file based video library management systems. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with Adobe products (Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop) preferred. Must exhibit excellent writing and communication skills.
