About Mezz:
Mezz Entertainment is in the entertainment industry as an artist management and consulting agency. We help rising artists become stars through creative direction, promotion, management, and event production. We've landed deals with Grammy Award-Winning music producers, established brand partnerships with Reebok, booked artists to festivals like SXSW, and coordinated interviews with Sirius XM.
Internship Description:
If you are interested in the music industry and gaining hands-on experience in client management, Mezz Entertainment's internship in Artist Management and Promotion is a great opportunity for you. Through our fall internship program, students will gain hands-on experience managing clients and promoting clients for interviews, shows, and press. Interns will work remotely for the duration of the internship with three weekly teleconference meetings as well as daily communication.
Interns will:
-Promote artists to radios, podcasts, and blogs
-Book artists for shows
-Write artist biographies and promotion material
-Develop and maintain contacts throughout music and entertainment industry
-Effectively research and pitch artists to ideal platforms
Qualifications and Requirements:
-Knowledge and experience with social media a must
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong research skills
-Self directed independent workers with unmatched work ethics who enjoy being a part of a team
-Hold degree or currently pursuing degree in marketing, PR, communications, music business, or similar field
-Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
-Plan to pursue a career in music/entertainment industry or public relations
Time Commitment and Location:
This internship program requires a 15 hour per week time commitment for the duration of the fall semester, with flexible start and end dates based on school schedule. Weekly meetings will be held remotely until further notice due to COVID-19.
Compensation and Benefits
This internship does not offer monetary compensation. We welcome passionate, excited students eligible to receive school credit or grants and will help complete all the necessary paperwork. This is not your typical internship. You are a part of the Mezz team and will be directly involved in all of our work. You don't get coffee for the artist management team, you are on the management team reaching out to contacts and promoting our artists. Your ideas are highly valued and everything you do for us is meaningful and will pay back in a one of a kind experience.
