Metro Public Relations, a leading entertainment PR and creative marketing agency, is seeking a Publicist with an expertise in working with TV and film PR campaigns. Clients include major streaming services, studios, networks, series, production companies, and producers.
The ideal Publicist candidate brings at least 5-6 years of experience. Candidate should have a deep bench of media contacts across entertainment, lifestyle, and digital press. The candidate should also have experience in junkets and understand the nuances of working with talent, partners and press.
Job duties:
• Maintain strong press relationships and continues to make efforts to strengthen existing and grow new press contacts
• Heavy media outreach for shows, films, junkets, and producers. Ability to strategically pivot tactics when hitting roadblocks.
• Client interface: ability to lead client conversations, regularly scheduled client calls and meetings, and troubleshoot client issues with minimal oversight. Candidate is strategic in client communication and can make the client feel confident in our ongoing work and understanding of their business.
• Write press releases, pitches, biographies, media materials and other client & company-related documents with minimal oversight
• Supervising the work of Account Coordinators, Assistant Account Executives, and Interns as applicable
• Account management: Overseeing support teams to track press and create reports on deadline.
• Campaign development: Creative and willing to proactively develop a strategic plan for each project and see it through to its successful completion. Can go outside the box to exceed client expectations.
• Research: staying informed on client achievements and growth to support our PR efforts.
Currently, we are working from home due to COVID-19 but when safe again, candidates should have the ability to cover clients in the field (photo shoots, red carpet events, in-person interviews, TV bookings, etc.) and handle any situations that arise on-site.
