METRO PUBLIC RELATIONS l PAID/CREDITED INTERNSHIPS
This is a spring internship, beginning Feb/March 2021 through early summer 2021, approx 20 hours/week requested
Metro Public Relations is an entertainment PR and creative marketing agency with offices in Los Angeles and NYC. We represent top studios, live events/conventions, traditional/digital talent, brands, producers/production companies, podcasts/podcast networks, platforms and more. We offer a team-oriented, creative environment and a positive office culture.
THIS JOB IS CURRENTLY REMOTE DURING COVID-19
REQUIREMENTS
Can commit to at least three days per week
Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college studying PR, Marketing, Communications or Journalism or a recent graduate with a degree in one of those fields
OUR INTERNS ARE:
Detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Regular consumers of industry and entertainment news, with knowledge of key media outlets
Ambitious self-starters who aren't afraid to share out-of-the-box ideas and present them in a professional way
Diligent and exhaust all options before reporting back to staff members
PREFERRED SKILLS
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Thorough researching abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Drive, MuckRack, Adobe Creative Suite and DropBox preferred
Graphic design experience is a plus
Professional demeanor on the phone, in the office, dealing with staff and any outside vendors, clients, etc
RESPONSIBILITIES
Brainstorming - Ideation of creative ideas or news angles to promote clients and company
Research - Assisting in the creation of daily newsletter for company and clients, compiling appropriate contacts for individualized pitches
Tracking Coverage - Obtaining press clippings, presenting coverage in client-friendly format, reading through daily/weekly industry publications
Special Project - Based on your interests and skill set, we will create a longer-term project for you to complete throughout your internship to add to your PR portfolio as a takeaway
