Metro Public Relations is an award-winning entertainment PR, experiential and creative marketing agency with teams in Los Angeles and NYC. We represent traditional/digital talent, brands, top studios, events, production companies, podcasts, and platforms.
We offer a team-oriented, creative environment and expect all employees to maintain our positive office culture. While our office is currently closed during COVID-19 Stay at Home orders, our business is fully operational and we are all working remotely. When it is safe to do so, we expect to open our offices back up - and this position will be in our LA office.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented PR Assistant in the Talent & Lifestyle Department who will be responsible for supporting the team in the development and execution of strategic press campaigns. This position will have a focus on talent, brands and event clients. The candidate would be responsible for a broad scope of day-to-day supportive work, including creating and maintaining media lists, coordinating press and event opportunities, creating itineraries, managing EPKs, supporting pitching, and creating media coverage reports. The ideal candidate would have a passion for and knowledge of digital entertainment (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.), film/TV, music, and podcasts. This individual is able to multitask, handle a large volume of work, and can leverage previous experience to support the strategic objectives of this company.
Major Responsibilities & Duties:
Coordinate and monitor client calendars to ensure all press interviews, shoots, events, travel and other appointments are included
Ability to develop, write and successfully pitch to secure press opportunities for clients
Provide on-site media relations support as needed at client events, including film premieres, junkets, shoots, and red carpet events
Manage media coverage tracking and produce press reports for distribution among internal and external teams
Maintain digital press kits and comprehensive client reports
Work with team to curate and maintain client press lists
Heavy research and targeted list building
Liaise between clients external teams
Requirements:
1 years of public relations experience (internships accepted) at an agency, network or studio
Bachelor's degree in public relations or related field preferred
Proficient in using PR/entertainment software, databases and cloud services such as Cision, IMDBPro, Google Docs, etc.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office suite programs. Photoshop experience a plus
Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
Experience performing media outreach to a variety of consumer and industry press a plus
Great attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Understanding of and interest in the digital entertainment industry
Professional appearance and demeanor with a positive attitude is a must
