Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM Studios") is seeking a Senior Vice President of Business Operations (SVPBO). This person will lead the teams responsible for the portfolio of applications that serve the critical business functions across Human Resources, Legal, Business Affairs, facilities, and Operations. As a critical member of the Media Technology Group, the SVPBO will provide thought leadership and strategic delivery of the systems and processes for the enterprise Rights Management solutions that serve the integration and exploitation of MGM's intellectual property worldwide. In addition, the Business Operations team contains critical customer facing services such as Client Services, the MGM Service Desk, Strategic Procurement, and the corporations Global SAP system. The SVPBO develops the strategic plan and long range roadmap for the applications and services necessary to support all of MGM's business units. The SVPBO will be the single point of contact for all information technology needs for these business units, including current and future system support needs across all functional areas.
This position will report to the Chief Information & Technology Officer and is a key leader within the Media Technology Group (MTG).
• Own business engagement for all IT services and manage relationships with senior business leadership team across all business units
• Drive yearly technology planning and budgeting process, share regular budget updates with financial transparency, and provide regular updates to business leadership on operational issues, service levels, and project status
• Serve as primary IT engagement point for MGM, Orion Pictures, and Epix
• Develop global technology strategy in conjunction with business units and Technical Operations
• Drive strategy, evaluate and execute technology initiatives to support business growth and transformation
• Lead global program planning, ensuring all domestic and International technology initiatives are in alignment with global business objectives
• Develop ongoing IT application strategy, procurement, client services in alignment with business goals and objectives, including evaluation of legacy platforms to determine future application roadmap
• Oversee technology system operations, business continuity programs and resilient disaster recovery programs
• Manage portfolio of many business applications; including critical production workflow and artist payments systems
• Build and deliver a world class ePMO function and associated methodologies in concert with other Media Technology Group leaders
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
• Requires a B.A./B.S. in computer science, business administration or other relevant field, or equivalent experience. MBA highly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of proven technology management experience, with a strong background in software development, applications management, systems architecture, and IT operations
• Proven project leadership expertise, including track record of delivering on multiple large-scale mission critical projects
• Proven ability to work in a high stress and demanding environment of a 24/7 operation
• Ability to travel, including internationally
