How do I hire a Sr. Financial Analyst? Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM") is seeking Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Finance team.
DUTIES: Calculate, record and reconcile amortization expense by-title in accordance with the Individual Film Forecast (IFF) method; Maintain ESSBASE cube designed to record amortization expense; Test the functionality of the ESSBASE cube and implement process improvements as needed; Liaise between divisions, including Financial Planning and Analysis, Participations, and Production, to prepare revenue and cost ultimates for the Companys film and television library; Reconcile film and television production costs by-title to Secon Audio Program (SAP); Evaluate impairment indicators for capitalized costs and prepare NRV analyses; Prepare financial log entries and assist with the Corporate Accounting financial close process; Interpret co-financing and other production-related agreements; Analyze film costs to ensure capitalization in accordance with ASC 926; Confirm production costs are recorded accurately in accordance with relevant accounting standards; Prepare financial statement disclosures around film and television costs; Prepare and manage audit requests related to production and ultimates processes; Maintain effective internal control environment in accordance with SOX; Prepare cost reports and various ad hoc analyses as needed by Management; and Mentor and train Financial Analyst on the Corporate Accounting team.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's, or foreign equivalent degree, in Accounting or related, plus a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible post baccalaureate experience as a Lead Auditor, Staff Accountant, or directly related field and a minimum of two (2) years with a public accounting firm. Must have a valid CPA license or be CPA eligible.
EXPERIENCE MUST INCLUDE: Preparing Advanced spreadsheet in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
