How do I hire a Social Media Manager? Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM") is seeking a Social Media Manager who will be responsible for executing social tactics for TV and film. The ideal candidate will be a clear, confident communicator with deep social expertise from an entertainment ad agency, film studio, or TV network who is pop-culture and media obsessed.
Requirements:
• Experience managing external agencies, day-to-day social postings, and ongoing calendar management
• Original thinker who can contribute to brainstorming ideas
• Skilled writing abilities
• Superb organizational skills
• Ability to ensure requirements and deliverables are clearly communicated, understood, and executed
• Comfortable capturing social content at events such as premieres, press junkets, festivals, special shoots, and fan events
• Ability to manage project status to foresee and identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them in advance
• Understand and communicate department needs to other internal teams and partners while ensuring effective exchange of information and deliverables
• Ability to act autonomously and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under deadlines
• Regularly share insights with key stakeholders to inform strategic optimizations
• Analytical skills with the ability to use data to optimize and measure programs and sentiment
• Experience working closely with publicity teams, talent, and influencers
• Ability to manage and forge relationships
• Pop-culture and media obsessed
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 years solid experience in social media marketing at a film studio, TV network or entertainment ad agency
• Minimum 1 year of solid digital PR experience in correlation to social media marketing
• Proficient with G Suite
• Basic Photoshop skills with the ability to make a transparent image
• Skilled at handling multiple projects simultaneously while possessing strong interpersonal and project management skills
• Fluent in social media platforms and tools including Facebook, Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, Twitter along with the associated analytics programs and tools within them
• A hands-on expert as a Social Media Manager with experience in social media marketing campaign management, publishing, editorial, content creation, and distribution
• Community management and conversation expert
