Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM") is seeking a Marketing Manager in its Film Marketing Group to oversee the day-to-day domestic and international interactions with MGM Home Entertainment titles, approvals, and budgets.
Responsibilities:
• Review and comment on extra content creative briefs and pieces
• Work with domestic theatrical team to develop and home video distributor to capture exclusive content for the home entertainment window
• Provide valuable insights from theatrical campaigns (exits, creative explorations, theatrical learnings) and work with domestic home entertainment distributor to apply to the home entertainment audiences
• Coordinate with domestic home entertainment distributor and theatrical team to participate in press junket days
• Assist in the creation of the final product, which includes packaging, menus, and extra content
• Work closely with MGM home entertainment distribution team(s) to achieve cohesive marketing and distribution plans
• Work with EST team to create synergy between the physical and EST release, which includes providing all extra content, packaging, and marketing materials as needed
• Review and approve media plans
• In conjuction with home video distributor, develop the marketing campaign from conception to execution
• Strategize with domestic Home Entertainment distributor on social media campaign and review / approve social calendar, creative, and messaging
• Review and approve all media buys, creative advertising, publicity plans, promotional plans, and point-of-sale creative materials
• Make sure talent and filmmakers are extending their approval rights when necessary for Home Entertainment Marketing materials
• Distribute home video product to talent in conjunction with their contractual obligations
• Manage communication to all MGM international markets, offering all available marketing and publicity materials
• Coordinate with markets worldwide requesting local metadata for EST and downstream media use
Requirements:
• Minimum 6 years of overall work experience with home entertainment at a film or television studio
• Strategic thinker
• Proficient at creating presentations using PowerPoint/Keynote/Google Slides
• Demonstrated experience creating forms (such as one-sheets, timelines, process documents) using Word, Excel or PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently following a project from beginning to end
• Professional demeanor and experience working in corporate or professional work environment
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to problem solve and handle new situations that arise on a daily basis
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the skill to work in a very fast paced work environment with quick turnarounds and deadlines
• International experience and ability to work with different countries, languages, and customs
• Strong multitasking skills
• Passion for film entertainment
