Senior Financial Analyst -- Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc., ("MGM") is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst of Corporate FP&A to join the Corporate Finance group. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for consolidating the overall corporate budget and long range plan / forecasts, ensuring consistency and accuracy of financial data, analyzing information received from divisional FP&A groups, and provide reporting / information to senior executives to support decision making.
Responsibilities:
• Support department in consolidating forecasts from business units
• Refresh internal reports used in the budget and long range planning process, as well as quarterly forecasts
• Reconcile and consolidate financial results while identifying key drivers of variances in the forecast
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting team during quarterly and year-end close processes
• Carefully dissect and analyze forecast data and financial models received from divisional FP&A groups, including film, home entertainment, television /digital, and channels groups to ensure forecast accuracy
• Assist VP with corporate overhead budgets, forecasts, and quarterly reporting
• Help maintain the Oracle Essbase database
• Assist in ad-hoc finance projects (including deal analysis, valuations, M&A), build strategic models, and develop fact-based recommendations to help senior leadership make informed business decisions
• Assist in preparing Excel reports and PowerPoint presentations for Senior Management and Board of Directors
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business / Economics or a related field preferred
• Minimum 2 - 3 years in accounting or financial planning
• CPA / accounting experience preferred
• Entertainment industry experience preferable
• Aptitude for being precise and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of company personnel
• Desire and proven track record working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well as a team member and deliver accurate information in a timely manner
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Working knowledge of Essbase and SAP a plus
