Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (''MGM'') is seeking an HR Generalist to handle our Recruitment/Employment and Employee Relations functions. Candidates should have 5 – 7 years' Generalist experience in a fast-paced, corporate environment. Must be conversant with federal and state laws, able to effectively communicate corporate policies and procedures and cultivate a collaborative and collegial team environment. Full-cycle recruitment experience required.
Responsibilities:
Manage recruitment/employment function in coordination with appropriate hiring executive
Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to identify talent within and outside the company.
Review and edit job descriptions; post job openings, coordinate and conduct interviews, reference checks, background checks, propose appropriate compensation, extend job offers
In conjunction with SVP, Human Resources, handle employee relations matters involving performance evaluation, disciplinary issues, employee complaints, etc. Conduct investigations and exit interviews.
Counsel management and employees on a variety of issues; interpret corporate policies and procedures as well as federal and state laws
Liaise with outside counsel regarding employment visas and immigration matters
Requirements:
BA/BS degree
5 – 7 years' HR generalist experience in a corporate setting
Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment; prior entertainment industry experience a plus
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Cooperative, supportive and positive team-oriented approach
Demonstrated ability to assess and problem solve employment and employee relations issues
