Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM") is seeking a Financial Sales Planning Manager for the Global Sales Planning and Strategy department. This group supports the worldwide distribution and acquisition teams with financial planning, sales strategy, and content valuation.
Responsibilities:
Content Analysis:
• Provide analytical and strategic support in the evaluation of business deals and revenue growth opportunities
• Create forecasts and projections for rights renewals and acquisitions
• Responsible for financial modeling, analysis of deals and forecasting revenues
• Track key title avails to optimize product performance
Financial Planning:
• Work with the Director and the finance team to lead the annual business plan process for corporate planning and quarterly re-forecasts
• Collaborate closely with FP&A and Accounting to ensure that actuals are tracking to forecast and understand, analyze, and investigate any deviations from forecast and/or budget (roadmap)
• Coordinate with the Sales team on deals in pipeline, product windowing, risks and opportunities
Sold Unsold/Ultimate Tracking:
• Lead sales report updates for current scripted and unscripted TV series
• Provide variance explanations between reports
• Gather ultimate forecasts in collaboration with sales teams
Administrative/ General Tasks:
• Perform ad hoc analysis for upper management
• Perform ad hoc research requests from sales, TV research and other internal departments
Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS required
• Must have in-depth knowledge of TV, Digital and SVOD businesses
• Advanced Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1 years related work experience in the entertainment industry
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business preferred
• Must have in-depth knowledge of TV, Digital and SVOD businesses
• Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze data
• Must be highly motivated and organized and able to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with MicroStrategy
