MGM Studios is seeking an Executive Vice President of Production to oversee original scripted television series. The position supervises Production, Post-Production, and Production Finance and works collaboratively with internal partners including Creative Development, Business and Legal Affairs, and Finance.
The ideal candidate will be expert at workflow, systems, and processes and will be insistent upon budgetary as well as creative integrity in equal measure.
Specific responsibilities include:
Develop and supervise budgets, production schedules, and workflows.
Lead and manage internal Production, Post Production, and Production Finance teams Establish policies and procedures representing best practices in the industry.
Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors to accommodate creative vision, tax incentives, budget needs, and location issues.
Delegate assignments among team members and cross-functional participants Lead the search and hiring of key production staff.
Work with showrunners, executive producers, and line producers to prepare and vet budgets and schedules, provide feedback on viability and risks.
Troubleshoot and communicate production changes and issues to internal and external teams.
Basic Requirements:
15 years of leadership experience in scripted television production including time as a Producer and/or a Production Executive or equivalent.
Leadership experience in problem solving, troubleshooting, and managing productions to deliver on time and on budget while helping maintain a strong and inclusive production culture.
Experience working with guild and union and understanding of rules and practices Experience working on international productions.
