Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer "MGM" is seeking a Director of Social Media to be the hands-on executive for all of our Unscripted Television. Must be a reality TV superfan. With having as many as 40 reality series in production and on air, the ideal candidate must be able to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
Responsibilities:
• Create social media plans
• Execute upon social media plans
• Social media specialist: You get it. You know it. You love it. You stay up to date on all the new tools, analytics, and capabilities across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and similar platforms
• Manage day-to-day relationship with social media agencies
• Develop and have existing relationships with multiple social media agencies
• Act as liaison between external agencies and internal teams
• Own editorial content calendars, including identifying stories to highlight and strategic content scheduling
• Ability to concept content series, and beyond, for TV
• Align organic with paid media
• Lead social campaigns for TV/series
• Stay on top of content - you watch the shows. You are a fan
• Forge relationships and work with production and marketing teams across all networks and streaming platforms
• Collaborate closely with publicity, and actively identify ways for talent to get involved in marketing plans
• Work closely with a variety of internal teams on their goals and priorities
Requirements & qualifications:
• Must have 6 - 10 years relevant experience in social media at a TV network, streaming platform, or TV/Streamer entertainment focused digital agency
• Must have TV/series digital marketing experience
• Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
• Skilled and styled writer
• Eye for details and creative
• Strong ability to write and create marketing decks
• Experience working closely with publicity
• Practiced presenter
• Experience with paid media on social
• Basic Photoshop skills
• Strong project management skills
• Passion for social and content marketing
• Able to develop and maintain relationships, and work across both internal and external teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible, responsive, proactive
• Passionate about unscripted content
