EPIX, an MGM Company, is seeking a Director, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition who will serve as a business partner while providing generalist support in multiple HR areas including onboarding/offboarding, talent acquisition, employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, and day to day HR operations for all EPIX employees. In addition, the ideal candidate will cover the recruiting essentials of searching for top tier talent and will help develop recruiting strategies that promote effective methods to source and evaluate talent for the company. The Director will also partner and work closely with MGM Human Resources to ensure consistency across the company with respect to policies and programs.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Human Resources:
• Support company-wide HR projects and programs, including but not limited to annual compensation, & benefit processes, summer intern program, mentor program, diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives, retention, immigration, compliance, safety, and employee engagement
• Coach and advise management on a variety of issues and ensure proper resolution and escalation of any employee relations matters
• Ensure a positive employee onboarding/offboarding experience, including facilitating 90-day check-ins with supervisors and employees, as well as conducting exit interviews
• Work closely with business leaders across all departments on annual performance management, merit processes, or any disciplinary actions as necessary
• Manage the Sr. HR Coordinator and oversee the onboarding/offboarding of employees, employee information, file, and org chart maintenance, reporting, and the overall employee lifecycle
• Work cross-functionally with Corporate Finance, Accounting, Legal, Payroll, Benefits and IT on a variety of employee-related matters
• Assist employees with employment and benefit-related inquiries & issues; directing employees to vendor resources as appropriate and/or escalating to the MGM Benefits department as appropriate
Recruiting / Talent Acquisition:
• Lead full cycle recruiting process: identify, engage, evaluate, and hire top talent for both open and future roles in a busy, highly creative & technical client group
• Provide a positive experience for every candidate from application stage to offer while evaluating skill level, driving the interview process including candidate scheduling, running reference checks, making salary recommendations, and closing of candidate offers
• Partner with the hiring managers throughout the interview process to develop job descriptions, identify candidates, and manage the candidate experience
• Manage the inbound applicant pipeline, while identifying passive job seekers using a full range of recruitment tactics and resources
• Understand requirements and sourcing challenges of each role
• Ensure progression of recruitment activities: ensure that candidates are moving through the interview process, feedback is collected post-interview, and candidates are kept in the loop of status
SKILL REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
• 8-10 years in Human Resources/Recruiting in a corporate setting; prior entertainment industry experience a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices
• Solid experience with full-cycle recruiting for technical and professional roles
• Strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to assess and problem solve employee relations issues
• Must be able to handle highly sensitive information and maintain confidences at all times
• Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook)
• Familiarity with ATS and HRIS systems; experience with ADP a plus
• Experience with OrgPlus or Visio preferred
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through skills are of the highest importance
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and successfully problem solve
• Self-starter with a driven, motivated work ethic
• Cooperative, supportive, and positive team-oriented approach
