OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
As the Digital Editorial Assistant you will be a vital player in the daily operations of the broader editorial and digital team, including the programming and promotions on EPIX.com, app home screens and email campaigns. You will work closely with Marketing, Original Programming and Creative Services counterparts to promote EPIX originals and movies, as well as product, engineering and operations teams to ensure a best-in-class user experience for our subscribers. You will ideate and execute creative digital stunts, act as a champion for our CMS product, and support the quality assurance of our editorial experience on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
You need to have a passion for media, a penchant for grammar and a keen eye for detail. You must possess a collaborative spirit, a go-getter attitude and a desire to learn something new each day, while still knowing how important the habitual tasks you perform are to the broader success of the company. You will want to take on challenges and be part of projects that seem unfamiliar. Most of all, you're excited to build a digital viewing experience for today as well as for tomorrow.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Download and catalog assets from studio sites for movies within license windows on monthly basis and organize accordingly for team's use
• Build and program pages in the CMS for all movies, shows and specials, including input of all metadata
• Act as liaison between digital editorial and programming teams to ensure proper association of operation IDs for all titles living within the CMS
• Program daily, weekly and monthly editorial plans for EPIX.com and EPIX apps via the CMS, working closely with editorial, marketing and design teams
• Collaborate with broader digital team on stunts to support content premieres and promotions
• Draft push notification and email campaigns via designated dashboard, and help monitor send performance
• Support editorial efforts in regards to brand voice, including copy writing descriptions and synopses for movies, FAQs on site and in app, and communications to users across push and email campaigns
• Track assets from Creative Services team for digital programming, ensuring proper guidelines are met for use
• Communicate and track key events and premieres via the team calendar, including promotional campaigns, programming stunts and product launches
SKILL REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
• BS in English, Communications or Marketing
• 1 - 2 years of digital media experience
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Experience with content management systems or similar dashboards
• Can-do attitude and dynamic personality
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Problem solver and able to effectively juggle multiple projects at a single time
• Passion for movie and TV
• Basic Photoshop (preferred)
