Accounting Manager

This is a Full Time Job

Responsibilities:

Manage all areas relating to accounting function and financial reporting for MGM Television Accounting

Coordinate and prepare monthly departmental reports, AR reserve and discount analysis and divisional cash reporting

Supervise Senior Financial Analyst and Royalty analyst

Review and approve journal entries

Review and approve general ledger reconciliations

Ensure accurate data flow from various financial systems

Review monthly management reports prepared by staff

Assist in external audit process

Respond to inquiries from various internal and external customers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and data for tax analysis

Work closely with corporate accounting to ensure all closing and reporting deadlines are met


Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting

CPA license (or CPA candidate) preferred

3-5 years prior supervisory experience in the accounting/financial reporting area

Experience with SAP a plus

Experience in preparing financial statements

Strong spreadsheet and database management skills

Strong analytical and technical skills

Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

Professional, self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment

Strong communication skills

Entertainment experience a plus
