Description
The UI/UX developer is passionate about interface design and usability. He or she is dedicated to creating the best experience for Production artists so they can focus on creativity without the tools getting in the way. The UI/UX developer is actively following the technology scene to keep abreast of the latest design trends, and working together with the Pipeline development team and artists to ensure our user interfaces are engaging, consistent, and fully featured.
The role requires a broad knowledge of web UI design as well as software development. The developer will implement UI that are browser-based; some are coded in Python and PyQt or Pyside, and may be embedded in and use the APIs of third-party products.
Responsibilities
• Communicate with Pipeline Leads and Production stakeholders to gather requirements and discuss design and functionality.
• Create UI mockups, prototypes and storyboards to communicate design ideas.
• Produce high-quality user interfaces and visually appealing designs from concept to execution.
• Collaborate with Core and Application developers in an agile, fast-paced environment.
• Transform complex concepts and requirements into intuitive and usable user experiences.
• Establish and maintain reusable design standards and guidelines.
• Actively contribute to code quality, update, maintain and test UI application code.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in UX/UI design.
• Solid understanding of design and testing methodologies.
• Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Experience with React, Angular or Vue JS.
• Experience with Bootstrap or similar CSS framework.
• Knowledge of the latest UX/UI best practices, trends and technologies.
• Experience developing in a Linux-based environment.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience with Python and PyQt or Pyside.
• Experience with UI testing frameworks such as Selenium.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology.
