Part Time Paid Internship
Description
Method's Vancouver studio offers internships providing hands-on experience in key departments. For the summer 2018 term we're looking for a talented, ambitious individual to join our Software Development/Pipeline team as Technical Director Intern. This flexible 10-12-week paid internship is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience at a top VFX studio, and a chance to learn from our talented crew of artists and software developers. You will work alongside the crew on global blockbusters, and at the end of your internship, will be well-positioned to move into any open ATD/TD or software development positions within the company.
You may work on code, tools and/or user interfaces, and you'll be mentored by, and work alongside, developers and UI/UX specialists, learn the inner workings of a VFX pipeline and VFX production, and get experience that can help you launch into a VFX/Software Development career – including consideration for full time roles at Method Studios.
At the close of the internship you'll have the opportunity to present your contributions to the studio's senior technology management team, including pitching any ideas that you may have, and get the team's feedback. You will also meet one-on-one with the Head of Software and Recruitment Manager to discuss career opportunities.
