Intern - Film Distribution

This is a Full Time Unpaid Internship

Full service film distribution company, located in Santa Monica, CA, seeking qualified student intern(s) interested in learning all aspects of film distribution business. The intern(s) should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the film business. Hours are flexible, but must be able to work at least 20 hours per week.

It is essential that applicants to this position have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently on important projects and have a strong interest in art house films.

Responsibilities
. Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies
• Assist in the development of marketing materials
• Assist in the distribution of marketing materials
• Internet research
• Compile contact lists
• Monitor and post on blogs, forums and social network

Requirements
• Strong writing skills
• Solid understanding of social media
• Excellent organizational skills
• Extensive computer skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize and take initiatives on projects

Intern will participate in all business meetings and be part of an exciting team of film professionals. Any one interested in the film business will get a first hand understanding of what it takes to succeed in the business!
