Full Time Job
Media Services, an Entertainment Payroll Company, is seeking a full-time Payroll Support Clerk for our TV/Features and Commercial Payroll Departments in our New York office. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of general office support. Candidates should also have strong customer service skills, as well as being detail oriented and willing to work as part of a team. Entertainment industry experience and payroll experience is preferred.
Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Payroll Support Clerk is to support the administrative needs of the payroll departments.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Provides office support to payroll staff including packaging and transmitting payroll to clients and employees
2. Performs filing, bookkeeping, and general administrative support for payroll departments
3. Processes contract service letter requests
4. Serves as a first point of contact for client and employee for payroll inquiries
5. Answers phone calls within payroll departments
6. Processes requests to void and reissue lost checks
7. Logs payroll and distributes to payroll coordinators
Essential Job Requirements:
1. Knowledge of basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word
2. Excellent verbal communications skills with the ability to establish positive client relationships
3. Exceptional external and internal client service skills including written, oral, strong listening skills. Follows up and follows through with clients and coworkers.
4. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task.
5. Ability to work in a constantly changing environment to achieve the department and company goals.
6. Ability to interact positively with co-workers and external departments.
